The Other 98% To Host Broadcast of Show on Facebook on Oct. 28
(SEPT 17, 2018) Margaret Cho is this year’s host of the 2018 Golden Probes! The five time Grammy & Emmy nominated comedian (“Fresh Off The Bloat”) is the perfect host to drive this evening of comedy, music, and celebration, all to raise awareness about what is at stake for reproductive rights in the midterm elections. The Golden Probe Awards is produced by Lady Parts Justice (LPJ), the comedy-based reproductive rights non-profit, helmed by Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead.
About hosting The Probes, Margaret Cho states: “I’m tired of being disgusted from a distance! I’m so thrilled that I get to express my revulsion in an up close and personal way by hosting this amazing event!”
LPJ is also thrilled to announce that Stormy Daniels has joined their exciting broadcast. Her unconquerable rally to expose Trump represents the new face of feminism and makes her an ideal presenter.
Stormy Daniels states: “I was surprised and honored when I was invited to be a presenter at this year’s Golden Probe Awards and I’m very much looking forward to this exciting evening. With reproductive rights under assault in Washington, there’s never been a more important time to shine a light on the assholes trying to take our rights away.”
In addition to Stormy Daniels, the amazing lineup of celebrity comedians and actors presenting at this year’s Golden Probes includes Lizz Winstead (The Daily Show, Founder LPJ), Taylor Schilling, Natasha Lyonne, Jessica Pimentel (Orange is The New Black), Dan Savage (Host of Savage Lovecast, Writer of Savage Love), Dulcé Sloan (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah), Kathy Najimy (King of the Hill), Michelle Buteau (WNYC’s “Late Night Whenever”), Akilah Hughes (HBO’s Pod Save America), activist Patricia Okoumou plus Brian Unger, Dr. Willie Parker, Mike Hot-Pence, Sharon Spell, Holly Miranda, Ambrosia Parsley, and Franchesca Ramsey with MORE ANNOUNCEMENTS TO COME!
In the wake of the #MeToo Movement, this past year set Golden Probe records in terms of the number of terrifyingly stellar nominations received for most sexist, most misogynist, and most insane anti-abortion enthusiasts. With categories like “Best Original Science” and feminist fan favorite, the “Pro-Lifetime Achievement” award, The Probes promises to be a night full of raucous resistance.
The Golden Probes will not only give out awards, it will also feature all the trappings of an awards show including musical numbers, comedy monologues, and some of your favorite “celebrities” on the red carpet!
Even the promotion for this event is on point!
In sticking to the satirical awards show theme, LPJ created a fake Entertainment News show called “No Access Hollywood” as a way of promoting the Golden Probes Announcement.“No Access Hollywood” features Daily Show alum Brian Unger as the host, who perfectly brings the TV cheese on the “Who’s In and Who’s Out” of the list of Golden Probes nominees. The Probes 2018 will be a night to get fancy and learn about dozens of politicians who are in office or running for office hellbent on destroying bodily autonomy, reproductive freedom, and all things feminist.
“The Golden Probes is not only a hilarious night of exposing politicians devoted to creating an eight lane highway to Gilead, it is also a voter guide to inspire people to get to the polls, to make sure these politicians lose their jobs,” states Lizz Winstead about the star-studded event.
The Golden Probe Awards 2018 is sponsored in part by Ruth Ann Harnisch and #VOTEPROCHOICE.

ABOUT LADY PARTS JUSTICE:
Lady Parts Justice is the first not safe for work, rapid response reproductive rights advocacy organization that uses comedy, culture and diverse media to sound an alarm on the terrifying erosion of reproductive access. Co-founded by the co-creator of The Daily Show, Lizz Winstead, LPJ uses comedy and reproductive health facts to produce hilarious strategic and educational content that destigmatizes abortion, calls out misogynistic politicians, and rallies voters to fight back against anti choice legislation on a federal, state, and local level.
The name Lady Parts Justice is an homage to Lisa Brown, a former Michigan state rep who when in office was banned from the statehouse floor for using the word vagina when arguing against a transvaginal ultrasound bill. When she asked what she should say they suggested something less provocative like “lady parts.” The offensive nature of men uncomfortable with the word vagina, but perfectly comfortable legislating it, inspired both the name and mission of this groundbreaking reproductive rights organization.
